Keeping Things in Safes Business

Commercial and Business Safes

Keeping what you want kept safe, safe in safes. Design has moved on a lot in the world and commercial safes have followed suit. Gone are the old rusty iron safes of yesterday to be replaced by more aesthetically pleasing designs that blend with the decor and surroundings. Pictures taken this century won’t feature a safe in them. It will be there somewhere but you probably won’t see it. Even if someone pointed to it in the picture it probably won’t look like a safe. So if you can’t see it even when you know its there what chance does a simple intruder have. Not a chance and even if he did see it he wouldn’t be able to open it unless he was a European criminal mastermind and the chances of that are slim I guess.

Safes in commercial properties and offices

Can be used not only to store petty cash and confidential documents they can be used to store any item, security guns for example. The loss of an office security gun will possibly cause more heartache then losing cash. What happens if the gun is used in a robbery and someone gets hurt? Nobody would want that on their conscience. Having a safe in your office or workplace allows you peace of mind and ensures you can relax and get on with doing what you need to do. The need to monitor anyone who enters your premises to ensure that they are not after your valuables is gone and you can relax when you lock the doors at night or close for a break or holiday. They will also help protect your valuables against accidents. In a busy office or work environment accidents will and do happen. Now a safe can’t stop people spilling coffee on documents, what office hasn’t had an incident where someone has knocked over a drink at their desk and the liquid as found itself inside every drawer soaking everything in them. Put the documents in a safe and it won’t happen. Well the drinks will still be spilled but the important documents will go undamaged. Simple.

Commercial safes feature many ingenious features

Such as electronic locks with back up keys and they can be mounted or fixed to the floor. They offer many different levels of protection. They can be big or as a small as you wish. When choosing a safe for the workplace or office consider what it is to be used for. Does it need to be fixed to the floor? Should it be waterproof? Probably, if you own a sea world center. Basically the choice is yours.

In essence safes are needed today more then ever. If only we could keep everything we treasure in a safe, like partners and children, pets even. If we knew it would keep them safe we would. Well we would if they wouldn’t suffocate. If we really value something or if work items are so irreplaceable and important why not use a safe. They are inexpensive, do a simple job well and don’t moan about long hours and no breaks. They are low maintenance and for the tough guys they are they require no feeding. They will protect anything you treasure, hold dear in life or have worked hard for safe and secure. After a fire they will be still standing, they won’t drown and they never ever reveal what they are protecting. Safes love one thing and one thing only keeping things safe.

Keeping Things Safe Home Safes

Keeping Things in home Safes

When people hear the words ‘ a safe’  they immediately think of the safes they have seen in Hollywood blockbusters. There is a lot more to safes then these massive vaults that seem to be easy to get into and are always stocked with vast sums or money that fits into a couple of duffel-bags. Safes are not around just for criminal masterminds to meticulously plan to heist their contents before kidnapping the latest media darling only to be outwitted by an unorthodox detective and his clumsy partner. (see Psyched episode 13)

Of course massive safes like the ones seen in the movies are based on true to life safes but in today’s modern world they play an invaluable part in ensuring peoples money, possessions and important documents are kept, sorry about this – safe. Throughout history mankind has felt the need to lock things away from prying eyes and to protect the contents.

Today there is still the need to ensure what is important to you remains secure and in a place that it can be confidently left. Banks offer safety deposit boxes for the use of customers but they are not convenient to use, often an appointment is needed to visit the box and it is far from ideal having items that you value stored possibly several miles away from your home or business. What happens if you need to have access to these items on a regular basis or you run a business that has cash on the premises? Safes are the easier option.

Naturally not everything kept in a case needs to be valuable. Gun safes are used to deter inquisitive minds from paying too close attention to a firearm. Safes today are designed to be used at the home as well as in a commercial or office environment. New technology and design ideas allow safes to be as visible or hidden as you wish.

Home safes can give a user valuable peace of mind, they will help to ensure that not only cash and perhaps jewelery are safely taken care of but can also be used to protect other important documents like property deeds, licenses, wedding bands and any other object close to ones heart. Not only will home safes protect their contents from theft they will also protect them from accidents, prying eyes and fires. They also ensure that valuable items do not get misplaced or lost forever. Surely if things are really important it is vital to look after them. A safe provides an easy, affordable and aesthetic way of achieving this.

Home safes

Home safes are designed with peoples taste in mind, after all who would want a large grey metal box that can only be opened by spinning what looks like a ships wheel about a hundred times parked in front of the plasma?  With a home safes it is possible to select one that suits the purpose it is needed for and to be sited in the ideal place. They can be hidden and remain unseen to any visitors or snooping family members. It is highly probable that you have visited someones home and home safes have been in plain view and you have not even noticed it. You can even buy mini home safes disguised to look like dog food cans or books, while not recommended for the safe keeping of large amounts of cash or other high value items they can be used to store small amounts of cash without having it in full view of anyone.

There is a myriad of home safes available

nowadays and they are used to protect almost anything you can think of. Laptop safes  are used to keep not only the laptop safe but its contents. Imagine storing important or confidential material or on a more personal value treasured family photos or videos on a laptop only to find that an opportunist burglar has helped themselves to it while you were shopping. Irreplaceable, thats what safes do, stop you from losing the irreplaceable.

Water and Fire Protection

After all accidents as well as thefts happen and safes can legislate for this as well. Safes are available that are not only fireproof but waterproof. Fire, by its very nature, consumes most things it comes into contact with or at least leaves it looking worse for wear. A safe will be extremely hot after a fire but the contents will be saved. A hot safe ! –  we are back in the realms of Hollywood again. Similarly in the event of a flood your valuables will be unharmed and in the same condition in which they entered the waterproof safe.

Home Safes Deter Thieves

Safes are designed now to fit in any place within reason and are a convenient way to ensure piece of mind. Sure most safes can be broken in to given time but most criminals that may enter your home will not have the skills or the inclination to stop and try. They act as a deterrent to thieves as they assume that any really high value items are beyond their reach and ponder on what other security measures have been deployed. A safe, if indeed found, shows a thief that you have taken precautions to protect your property. Safes won’t stop crime but they do mean that you do not lose everything of value. Some things have no monetary value but mean the world to people. Keep them safe, Use home safes!

Security Doors Looks, Style, Function

Security Doors come in many shapes and styles

A security door is now commonly found installed not just in commercial establishments but in homes as well. Although all doors often have two or more secure locks, many feel safer with a security door, especially there is an increase in the number of break-ins and burglaries for both homes and commercial establishments alike.

Security doors are built not only with more secure locks that cannot be picked, but they are also installed in such a way that they cannot be torn off or detached from the frame or the door jamb. Basically, these doors are really built for preventing any forced entry and can really keep a home or establishment safe.

How do Security Doors look?

Although some people tend to think of these doors as being so functional that they might look like various versions of a prison or vault door, there are actually different types of security doors to choose from. People can choose a look that would suit the look of their home or establishment in terms of design and space.

These doors may come in the form of hinged doors, sliding doors, or double doors. Hinged doors are the most commonsecurity doors types of doors used, and they look a lot like regular doors. This is a common popular choice because it often matches the look of home and is the most classic design of a door. When installing these kinds of doors, a subframe is often used so that the door is not attached to the door jamb directly. This is so because there might be problems with regard to lock jams when the seasons change and the door’s wooden material expands.

Sliding doors are also an option and they look just as great as regular sliding doors which are often used for a neater look and to allow light to come in through the glass. The secure version of sliding doors is the one that comes with a screen layer or another cover for glass panes. It is a common way for intruders to get into a home or establishment by breaking the glass. With secure sliding doors, breaking glass will not be an issue as there is an additional barrier.

Double doors can be either hinged or sliding doors, and they are secure in such a way that one door locks into the other, which is fixed. Both doors can be opened though when needed. So, people can choose from hinged, sliding, and double doors, find the one that would suit the look and size of their home or establishment, and they can easily have security doors installed.

Some people may still want to add another layer of protection on top of a security door. If they wish, they can have security screens and barrier screen doors installed too. Security screens are very close to security doors, except that their are mainly screens that will allow air and light to come in, so that windows are not left open. Barrier screen doors are ordinary doors with a single lock, and are often installed outside of the main door, as another layer of a door with a lock.

Commercial Door Requirements

Commercial Door Requirements Means more than just compliance

Exterior commercial door requirements are things that should be carefully considered because the exterior door of any commercial establishment – whether it is a small store, a quaint little book shop or coffee nook, or a big and popular go-to place of regular customers – is one of the first things that will say a lot about it. People may look at the establishment as a whole, but will always eventually seek out the entrance to it. This is especially the case when the Open and Closed signs are placed on or near the door, as well as the operating hours, menu, sale signs, or specials listings. Hence, taking the time to choose and install an exterior commercial door is just as important, if not more important, than designing the whole place and choosing the perfect decor and accents to go with it. So even though these are not part of the commercial door requirements, having a company that can help you with the design and esthetics can be just as important.

The most basic commercial door requirements

Are those that have to do with its style, material, and application. The style refers to a door’s design and type. It has to match the overall architectural design of the store or establishment, and has to be one with its theme or color scheme. A door can be a simple single door of wooden finish with glass panels. Doors with a wooden theme or look can be easily played around with when it comes to designing it as a wood design can be so versatile. Single doors can also be a typical glass door with aluminum sides.

An establishment’s exterior doors can also be the two-door type. Two-door types also come in a variety of designs. It can highlight an elegant look of a building when framed with bricks or it can be a typical pair of double glass doors which open to a bright, inviting, and cheerful store or cafe.

The material and application of exterior doors are more focused on a door’s functional aspect but their execution can also play around with the building or establishment’s theme and over all style. It is just important to consider the door’s material – being an exterior part, it has to be able to withstand various environmental conditions and changes in seasons. The outside part of the door is also constantly exposed to the elements hence it requires more durable, sturdier, and tougher material. If a door’s design is wooden, it has to be a specific quality of wood that can last being an outdoor material. If it has glass panels, the glass material has to be the thicker and tougher types.

With regard to the commercial door requirements application, exterior doors can be installed in such a way that they swing open or close, or that they slide apart or close. Automatic doors may also either swing or slide, depending on the design and space for the entrance and exits of the establishment.

Even if customers are going to a store to see what is inside it, it is still important to ensure that the doors that will welcome them have met the basic commercial door requirements, and are as inviting to walk through.
